Distant Waves of Analog Shores — a musical journey in search of a past legacy.

Originally released in 2023 under a different project name, this EP is now reissued under the Sonic Mayhem brand. Not as a revision, but as a recontextualization—and because the music felt worth preserving.

All tracks were recorded directly to an old 8-track Tascam cassette recorder. No software instruments, no plugins were used - only real analog synthesizers, captured as they happened.

Inspired by the avant-grade movement of the so-called electronic Berlin sound in the 70s and 80s  (Tangerine Dream), tape saturation, drifting sequences, and unstable harmonics help create slow-moving cinematic spaces.

The spoken-word fragments were written and performed by myself, inspired by some of my favorite films. They aren’t just random narrations -  but to help immerse the listener into each of the tracks cinematic worlds.

Synths used: Jupiter 6, Deckards Dream, Juno 106, Ensoniq EPS 16 sampler, Alesis HR-16B drum machine, Arp 2600, SE-1 Bass Modul, Malekko Manthers and the OB-6.

Effects used: OTO Machines Bim, Bam, Boum. (Delay reverb and comp).
